FF Family Hits Small Screen Stateside

Tracey Pollard and Zara Hartshorn have taken a huge step on their journey with First Features this week, breaking America with appearances on two of the country’s biggest TV shows.

The mum and daughter from Rotherham, Yorkshire, have never been out of the country and yet their faces have been seen my millions across the USA this morning on Good Morning America and The Today Show.

First Features has been helping Tracey and Zara raise awareness of the rare illness they share, which causes them to age at an alarming pace. Lipodystophy is a relatively unknown condition but the press and TV coverage of this brave pair has brought it to the attention of millions around the globe.

First Features’ Clients Go Global

Two of our fabulous clients, mum and daughter pair Tracey Pollard and Zara Hartshorn share their story for the fourth time in this month’s Sugar magazine.

Tracey and Zara came to us in August for help raising awareness of the shocking condition, lipodystrophy. They’ve both suffered since birth from the disease, which makes them look far older than they are. And they wanted to speak out about the effect it has on their lives.

Since working with First Features, the pair have appeared in Reveal, Woman’s Own and Sugar, and have even gone global, telling their story to Australian magazine, Woman’s Day!

“I can’t believe how much exposure we have had just from one phone call to First Features,” says Tracey. “We wanted to raise awareness and being in four national magazines has really helped. It’s been an amazing experience as well.”

First Features is now in talks with film production companies about making a TV documentary about Tracey and Zara.

“All the publicity has changed my life,” says Zara. “People at school understand why I look the way I do now and it’s much easier to talk about. I loved having the photo shoots, too!”

It’s been a big year for Tracey and Zara and we look forward to continuing our work with them in the future.
